We are just a week out from school starting and I’m finishing up all my back to school shopping and planning for several traditions we do to recognize this fun season of our kid’s life. We’ve shopped for school supplies and I’ve ordered new backpacks and lunch boxes. I’ve made my grocery list for school lunches and snacks, and planned a family dinner to celebrate the start of a school year. I’ve gone shopping for clothes, lots of clothes, for my five kids. I’m doing all the things, and I’m sure you’re doing all the things, so today I’m sharing ideas for back to school outfits for kids and I hope this takes one “thing” off your list!
These back to school outfits for kids are sponsored by Carters, however, all opinions are my own.
When thinking about school clothes, I try to purchase as much as I can early in the year and take advantage of back to school savings. I like to size their clothes a little big so they last through the year, especially when it’s staple items, that also count for uniforms, like polos and denim. I always go through what clothes can be passed down before we shop so we know exactly what we need. We buy a pair of church shoes and school shoes each year and I’m thankful that Carter’s accommodates my kids from infancy to age 14, and I can trust that the clothes are going to be comfortable, quality, affordable, and current trends!
I still can’t believe that my oldest daughter is headed to kindergarten! Seeing them all dressed up for school with their backpacks has me fast forwarding to their high school years. Time really does fly and I’m just so thankful for the time we have together! I’ve already been talking to my older boys about how they’ll have to protect and include their sister when she joins them at school. My hope is they will continue being great friends throughout the years!
Carter’s has launched a new line called Carter’s KID that is available in sizes 4-14. This is just in time for back to school shopping and it is so cute! Carter’s has been a family brand for us for almost nine years. I love that the quality holds up, and I can pass down clothes to my other kids. Now with the extended sizes, it’s my go-to location for a one-stop shop for all of my kids, from age eight to one!
One of my favorite things about this line is that the styles allow for so much individualism, as they have graphic tees, polo shirts, classic long sleeve tees, etc. I can also coordinate if I want, and you know I love that! I’m excited that these additional sizes allow my kids to continue being Carter’s kids this school year, and Carter’s is offering discounts right now for shopping for back-to-school outfits.
My oldest daughter calls me her “bestie” and when I saw these shirts that said “Mama’s Bestie” you better believe I grabbed one in each of their sizes. Because we’ll be besties for all time, and now they have really cute glittery shirts that make it official. Now if I could just talk Carter’s into making adult sizes. Ha!
The other thing that is a must is pajamas! And there’s just something about kids in matching or coordinating pajamas, am I right? Carter’s is my go-to for fun, modern styles that my kids love because they are soft and always in fun colors and prints. These dinosaurs are too cute! My kids don’t like tags on the back of their necks and I appreciate that Carter’s pajamas are tagless.
I hope you enjoyed all these styles from Carter’s. I’m excited to share a coupon just for you! Click here for savings on your back to school outfits for kids. I’m off to find a few little “happy” gifts to welcome their new teachers. Our teachers give so much to my kids and I know they’ve worked hard to prepare for this school year. I’m excited about having a chance to start the year off by thanking them!
Here’s a handy pin to save this for later, and if you have a little one starting kindergarten, you might like my letter to my child’s kindergarten teacher.
A special thank you to my sweet friend and talented photographer, Kelly Carter Bittle, for capturing my kiddos so perfectly!
