I’m so excited to reveal my dining room decorated for the Thanksgiving season. I always decorate with the traditional orange colors, so when I saw a blue pumpkin in my local craft store I jumped at the chance to refresh my harvest decor. I love getting to use my favorite blue and white china for a new look for Thanksgiving. I began collecting blue and white a few years ago, and I’ve had so much fun using my Italian Spode this spring and summer and wasn’t ready to put it away. It’s the best of both worlds, it’s both elegant and functional in that it is dishwasher safe. You know this mama of five is looking for more dishwasher safe in my life!
For the centerpiece, I collected faux pumpkins and faux fall sprigs from Michael’s and Hobby Lobby. I also found some great blue, green, and white pumpkins at TJ Max, HomeGoods and Pier 1 Imports. I put it all together in a basket I found at Hobby Lobby. The important thing to remember is to use different textures and layers. It was super easy, and I loved the way it turned out.
For the table, I combined a vintage feel with my glasses and lace napkins, and a farm fresh look with the scalloped chargers and burlap placemats. If you’ve been following along, you know I love anything lace or ruffled. One of my favorite details are the cotton sprigs in my blue and white lace…I think they make a perfect combo! I’ve included sources for everything I could find, and a few similar items for those I couldn’t. Now I’m ready to start thinking about all the good food we’ll be having here over the next two months!
I’d love to hear how you’re decorating for Thanksgiving this year. Thanks for stopping by, friends!
