I am making plans for the Big Game in my household including preparing my menu and the recipes I’ll be making. These Crunchy Taco Bowls will be a crowd favorite for sure. Give me anything crunchy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside. Plus is there anything better than seasoned taco meat, crunchy chips, and cheese? And when you add all the other toppings, it’s a favorite in my book.
This recipe is really so simple to make (see below). Start by making the taco meat. I used beef for this recipe, but I actually typically use turkey or venison when cooking meat in a recipe. Either option would be terrific. Next, line muffin tins with wonton wrappers, or you could use tortillas instead. Then layer the ingredients and add the cheese. Pop in the oven for 10-12 minutes and you have a warm, cheesy, gooey, taco bowl. This is such a fun spin off the classic taco. It is the same basic ingredients of a taco, but honestly, it’s better because of the gooey factor. It’s hard to get the gooey factor with a regular taco. So instead of Taco Tuesday, Taco Tuesday Bowl? Trust me, make this recipe ASAP!This recipe is great for kids and adults alike. I love preparing bowls of ingredients at parties and letting everyone build their own. It makes for a festive activity for a party like on Big Game day. I picked up all the ingredients, including the Ricos Gourmet Nacho Cheddar Cheese Sauce from Walmart. I love that Ricos has 0 trans fat and it’s made with NO hydrogenated oils.
I noticed that there are other flavors as well, so I purchased the Premium Cheddar Cheese flavor to set out with our chips and salsa. It’s so nice that you can just warm it and serve…a great time saver for busy moms. With five kids running around the house I am always, ALWAYS, looking for ways to save time! There’s also a Condensed Cheddar option that will save time and money, and will feed a crowd. Yes, please!
The Big Game is coming up next weekend and I can’t wait to have family and friends over! If you’ve been following my blog, you know I am a professional party planner and I LOVE a good party. I like to keep things simple for watch parties like using colorful table clothes I have on hand, differently shaped serving ware, and having lots of yummy options for people to enjoy. Ricos is certainly helping with the simple AND yummy factor! I can’t wait for everyone to taste this new recipe. I would love to hear what your plans are for the Big Game?
Also, a fun fact for you…Ricos is hosting a sweepstakes right now and a 2018 Ford F-150 is up for grabs. Purchase a 15oz can of Ricos Cheese Sauce and get an entry. Purchase a 6lb 10 oz can and increase your chances with 5 entries! You can enter every single day with each purchase. How fun is that?
