Our family had so much fun attending the opening day of Magic Screams, the must-do Halloween event at Magic Springs offering family fun by day and fright by night. I grew up visiting Magic Springs, Arkansas’s only theme park, so I love taking my kids and watching them enjoy it as much as I did as a kid. I was so happy to see the event was full of kid-friendly activities like a pumpkin patch, painting pumpkins, festive face painting, games and more! We really had the best time and I’m excited to share all that is offered for family fun at Magic Screams.
This post is sponsored by Magic Springs, however, all opinions are my own.
We had never been to their Halloween event so I wondered if it would be too scary for my kids, but I was delighted that it wasn’t a scary experience for them at all! They certainly have thrilling experiences offered for those who are thrill seekers or who love a good haunted house, but they are clearly noted so I could ensure a positive experience for my kids. But I’m going back with my husband sans kids because we love a good haunted house, and from what I could tell theirs looked really good!
We loved the creative decor all throughout Magic Screams. There was literally something fun around every corner, they really went all out to create a Halloween atmosphere. They had graveyards throughout, skeletons, witches, and other fun ghouls as well. They also have a huge selection of inflatable Halloween characters that looked great during the daylight and they were shining brightly at night (keep reading to see more of the decor). The overall feel at the park was very festive!
We had fun at the pumpkin patch and the kids all chose a pumpkin to paint. We may have gotten paint everywhere but they had fun making their pumpkin designs and then we headed over to the kid area for the rides. They have everything you can think of for the kids…a carousel, train, airplanes, hot air balloon ride, and a smaller roller coaster that my kids love. We could stay in this area all day having fun, but there is so much more to see and do!
Magic Screams also offers fun family rides like their log ride, pirate ship, taxi car ride, and bumper cars. The Taxi care ride is a favorite for my four big kids. They have water rides and for your bigger kids (and people like me who love a good roller coaster), they have eight thrill rides! It was really so cool to ride the roller coasters at night. It was the perfect temperature and the starry night makes for a great backdrop!
This year at Magic Screams they have an all-new NiteFort kid-friendly haunted house based on the very popular video game. For the adults and older kids, there is nothing scarier than riding roller coasters in the dark, and Magic Screams offers six one-of-a-kind scary haunted houses that are included with park admission. They also have so many fun activities planned from a Family Movie Series, to Costume Contests, to Games for kids and adults alike. They take family fun at Magic Screams seriously!
Below is a full list of the activities and you can check out their website for more details such as contest rules and start times.
